PRIVACY & SECURITY FORUM: A HIMSS EVENT
Boston, MA - December 5 - 7, 2016
Zen Chu, senior lecturer in Healthcare Innovation at the MIT Sloan School of Management, has a deep understanding of healthcare technology from its early stages to today's cutting-edge.
His session will look at the role hackers played in HIT's infancy by identifying weaknesses and drove many of the industry's security efforts still in place today.
Hackers, says Chu, bring existing solutions to market.
The MIT professor will also dicuss how today's cybersecurity officers should be heralded as the heroes of healthcare, not the "people in the bowels of the basement." As cybersecurity becomes a greater priority industry-wide, healthcare needs to use their people better and get them out of the basement.
